The Simpsons Goes to Ghirardelli

Yesterday we had good time watching 'The Simpsons Movie' along with HDS office mates in AMC Theatre located in Disney's Pleasure Island Orlando. The AMC theatre has 24 screens and it was a round building with theatre screens all around its circumference. We enjoyed the movie along with a pack of Popcorn and a cup of coke. It was a history in my life time as i never ever watched a cartoon movie in a theatre before. Ha ha... That movie made history too, with house full audience.

After the movie Jody invited everyone for his treat at Girardelli, which is a famous chocolate and Icecream manufacturer. We went there, had ice creams, and had fun. I had a big cup of 'World famous Giradelli Ice cream'. It was really an awesome icecream. But don't ask about the price of icecreams. It varies from $15 to $25. Cheap isn't it.

Life in US

I feel US is really a great place to live in. Even if you are a batchelor, life is simple and easy in US. You can live independantly by eating processed food. Or you can simply go buy some grocery items, spieces from indian stores and cook.

When it comes to kitchen, i feel you can't beat US kitchen. I can say it is 'Fully Loaded'. I comes with Fridge, oven, microwave, electric stove, dishwasher.... and what not. You just need to chop onions and start cooking. All vegetables and non-veg are all processed and packed. Just cut open and allow to boil. One darkhorse in India is affter effect of cooking. You need to wash all vessels manually. It is very rare in India where people depend on dishwashers. But the bad part about US people is, even after providing such comfort people are bad in cooking good food. Instead they go to grab pizzas and burgers.

Driving in US is really a pleasure. I have not started enjoying that pleasure as i have not got my US driving licence. I am sure i will get one soon. The roads are so good that you can actually cruise on the road. The good thing i like in US is the people. People really obey traffic rules and speed limits. If there is a signboard saying 'Speed Limit 20 Miles', almost 99% of people stick to that limit. And the remaining 1% is cought by cops on spot and were given tickets (fine).

If you talk about highways ( here they used to call Interstate ), it is really amazing. The way things are organized for perfection. In any interstate for every one mile gap there will be an exit (road quitting higway and connecting to smaller roads or eatouts, gas stations etc...) and it will be named sequentially like Exit-80, Exit-81, Exit-82 etc... Night driving is also bit safer in US compared to India. In fact it is much much better that what we have in India. If you fall asleep while driving in Interstate, the vehicle will wobble and will touch the line near the ramp (divider). If it does so, then the specially designed strech near that ramp will bouce the tyre from the road and it makes hell lot of noise, which really awakes the driver and keeps him back on road.

I can keep on saying many great things that i have noted in US. But for now i can say 'Life in US' is "QUALITY"
